Safety
Safety is a fundamental value of Nabors Offshore Corporation (NOC). It is the policy of NOC that every employee is entitled to work under the safest possible conditions. Although everything we do has physical risk, we do all we can to manage accident prevention, fire protection, health preservation, a drug free work place, and safe guard the environment. To achieve this policy the company endeavors to maintain a safe and healthful workplace by providing safe working equipment, programs, safety processes and necessary personal protection equipment as well as management support, skills, interaction, and responsibility.
NOC's employees are the foundation of the health, safety and environmental protection programs. Participation and ownership of the safety processes is required by everyone. Everyone has the individual responsibility to make the safety of coworkers and self a foremost consideration when conducting daily activities, whether at home or at work. All employees are held accountable for their responsibilities to work safely. All Supervisors, Toolpushers, Superintendents, Operations Management, and the President are held accountable for the safety of personnel under their supervision.
NOC believes that all accidents are avoidable. To achieve that goal, NOC requires all employees to work safely as a condition of employment, including mandatory compliance with safety regulations and safe work practices.
It is the policy of NOC to maintain a position of environmental responsibility. This responsibility shall include company-wide compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and ordinances. The reasons for this policy are to protect our environment, provide a safe and healthy workplace, and ensure against fines and suits, which might result in civil and/or criminal penalties.
NOC shall maintain an environmentally responsible commitment to its employees, customers, Board of Directors, the environments in which it operates, and to the public. Responsible management leadership, management environmental resonsibility for operation, and the requirement for all employees to comply with all applicable laws and regulations will accomplish this commitment.
